Qualifications

• Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program and current state license.
• Experience in urgent care or emergency settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient histories and perform triage assessments
• Place IV catheters and perform venipuncture
• Administer medications and injections
• Collect diagnostic samples and perform laboratory procedures
• Perform ultrasound-guided cystocentesis
• Monitor hospitalized and surgical patients
• Assist with same-day surgical procedures
• Communicate with clients regarding patient care and treatment plans
• Work closely with veterinarians to provide urgent care medicine
