Job summary

Veterinary Urgent Care Center (VUCC) – Dedham, MA is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our fast-paced urgent care team. This PRN position offers the opportunity to work closely with veterinarians on critical cases while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Our Dedham hospital provides state-of-the-art diagnostics, in-house lab, ultrasound, and same-day procedures. You’ll perform triage, venipuncture, and monitoring under doctor direction, with mentorship and ongoing

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AVMA-accredited CVT program with current state license.
• Experience in emergency or urgent care is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong communication and client interaction skills.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient histories and perform triage assessments
• Place IV catheters and perform venipuncture
• Administer medications and injections
• Collect diagnostic samples and perform in-house laboratory testing
• Monitor hospitalized and surgical patients
• Assist with same-day surgical procedures
• Communicate with clients regarding patient care and treatment plans
• Collaborate with veterinarians to provide urgent care
