Job summary

Renown-Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for our Urgent Care in Los Altos. The role focuses on front and back-office support, patient education, and coordination of tests and referrals. A start-to-work bonus of $2,000 is offered and the position is full-time with benefits.

Qualifications

• English proficiency to perform job duties safely and effectively.
• Multi-physician office practice experience highly preferred.
• State of Nevada license for Office Laboratory Assistant or Certified Laboratory Assistant (or application submitted within 90 days).
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire; multiple certifications may be required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Escort patient to exam room promptly and take vital signs per guidelines.
• Document patient communications and prepare lab specimens for processing.
• Process referral forms and obtain authorizations; schedule tests and follow up on results.
• Assist with casts, splints, braces, and immobilization devices as directed by providers.
• Maintain exam room stock and coordinate with vendors for supplies as needed.
• Educate patients on cast care, devices, and activity restrictions.
