Qualifications

• One year CMA training and CPR certification.
• Current CMA/ENCMA/CCMA certification or must be obtained within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Enters provider orders into electronic medical record.
• Keeps work area stocked and informs supervisor of maintenance needs.
• Assist in preparing exam rooms and patients for examinations, administer medications as prescribed.
• Perform laboratory tests (urine dipsticks, urine drug screens, blood draws) and communicate results.
• Greet patients professionally and maintain confidentiality.
• Handle patient callbacks, referrals, laboratory tests and follow-up appointments by phone.
• Assist with calls, file retrieval, and medication storage as needed.
• Access patient information systems to retrieve vital records and demographics.
• Follow emergency protocols and participate in codes; support Patients' Bill of Rights.
• Perform other duties and uphold Johnson Memorial Health policies.

Education

MA training & CPR certification
