Job summary

UNC Health Care's UNCHMG Urgent Care Clinics in NC's Triangle seek Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants for per diem/float pool roles. You’ll treat episodic illnesses and minor injuries as part of an interdisciplinary team and conduct occupational health exams.

Ideal candidates have an accredited NP/PA program, 1–2 years of APP experience in urgent care or ER settings, see patients from 4 months old, hold NC licensure or be able to obtain it, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Minimum 1–2 years APP experience in acute care, primary care, urgent care, or emergency room setting.
• Must see patients 4 months of age and older.
• NC Licensure or ability to obtain.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Required procedures: Suturing, splinting.
• DOT Certification.
• Knowledge of OSHA recordables preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Treat episodic illnesses and minor injuries as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Provide occupational health services and exams.
• Work in a fast-paced urgent care setting and coordinate with other clinicians.
