Job summary

UNC Health Medical Group's Urgent Care Raleigh seeks Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners to join eight clinics in Wake County. The team handles episodic illnesses and minor injuries with on-site X-Ray and point-of-care testing. The clinics operate in a walk-in model with a reservation/wait-time system.

This is a full-time, shift-based position at UNC Health facilities. Ideal candidates have completed an accredited PA/NP program, NC licensure or ability to obtain, and strong

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients 4 months and older for episodic illnesses and minor injuries.
• Perform procedures such as suturing and splinting as needed.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including RNs, CMAs, and physicians.
• Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and patient care.

UNCHMG Urgent Care clinics, located in the Triangle of NC, have openings for Urgent Care Physician Assistants (PA) OR Nurse Practitioners (NP) at multiple locations in Wake County, North Carolina. Providers are part of an interdisciplinary team and responsible for treating episodic illnesses and minor injuries. Employed positions with UNCHMG are a shift-based model. Our provider team staffs our 8 UNCHMG Wake County based UNC Urgent Care clinics. We see patients 4 months of age and older. Our team includes RNs, CMAs, Rad Techs, MOAs, Physicians and APPs. We have on-site X-Ray and point of care testing. Our clinics are walk-in based with a reservation and wait time system. We look forward to reviewing your application today!

Ideal Candidate:

• Completion of accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
• Work experience in acute care, primary care, urgent care, or emergency room setting preferred
• Must provide care to patients 4 months of age and older
• NC Licensure or ability to obtain
• Excellent interpersonal/communication skills, with ability to establish rapport with patients & collaborate effectively with team members
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Required procedures: Suturing, splinting

• 8:00am - 8:00pm (Sunday - Saturday)
• Plus, weekends & holidays
