Job summary

UNC Health in North Carolina is hiring Urgent Care Physician Assistants (PA) or Nurse Practitioners (NP) for 8:00am–8:00pm, with weekends and holidays as part of a flexible, shift-based full-time schedule. Positions are onsite across multiple Wake County locations, providing care to patients aged 4 months and older within an interdisciplinary team at UNC Urgent Care clinics.

Ideal candidates will have completed a PA or NP program, NC licensure, and experience in acute/urgent care or emergency

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Experience in acute, primary, urgent care, or emergency settings preferred.
• Must provide care to patients 4 months and older.
• NC licensure or ability to obtain.
• Excellent interpersonal/communication skills and team collaboration.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Required procedures: Suturing, splinting.

Responsibilities

• Treat episodic illnesses and minor injuries in urgent care settings.
• Work within an interdisciplinary team in a shift-based model.
• Provide care at multiple Wake County locations (onsite).
• Utilize EPIC EMR for patient documentation.

UNCHMG Urgent Care clinics, located in the Triangle of NC, have openings for Urgent Care Physician Assistants (PA) OR Nurse Practitioners (NP) at multiple locations in Wake County, North Carolina. Providers are part of an interdisciplinary team and responsible for treating episodic illnesses and minor injuries. Employed positions with UNCHMG are a shift-based model. Our provider team staffs our 8 UNCHMG Wake County based UNC Urgent Care clinics. We see patients 4 months of age and older. Our team includes RNs, CMAs, Rad Techs, MOAs, Physicians and APPs. We have on-site X-Ray and point of care testing. Our clinics are walk-in based with a reservation and wait time system. We look forward to reviewing your application today!
