Job summary

Osceola Medical Center is seeking a Casual Advanced Practice Clinician (PA/NP) to provide independent, evidence-based care in the Urgent Care setting in Osceola, Wisconsin. The APC will collaborate with ED physicians and other services to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.

The ideal candidate has completed a PA or NP program, holds current state licenses, and possesses DEA registration plus BLS/ACLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Successful completion of the applicable national certification examination and current board certification (or board eligibility).
• Current Minnesota and Wisconsin PA or APRN license in good standing.
• Current DEA registration.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required; PALS and ATLS preferred.
• DOT Medical Examiner certification required or obtained within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute illnesses and injuries in Urgent Care.
• Perform DOT physicals and occupational medicine services.
• Order, interpret, and act on laboratory studies and imaging.
• Perform approved procedures such as laceration repair and wound care.
• Coordinate transfer of care for patients requiring Emergency Department evaluation.
• Provide patient education and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
