Job summary

Welocalize, Inc. is seeking experienced linguists for Welo Data to support a synthetic data generation program. You will perform A/B preference testing of machine translations from English into Indic languages and help evaluate AI-generated content.

As a Translation Validator, you review English sources with two translations (Variant A and B), choose the preferred, and justify your decision. Each sample is reviewed by three validators in a blind process.

Qualifications

• Native-level fluency in Urdu (written and spoken).
• Strong written communication in target language.
• Proficiency in English.
• Background in linguistics, translation, or language quality assessment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review English source documents alongside two machine-generated Urdu translations (Variant A and Variant B).
• Evaluate both variants based on accuracy, fluency, and overall translation quality.
• Select the preferred translation and provide a written justification for your assessment.
• Complete assigned samples independently and within established timelines.
• Adhere strictly to project and client guidelines.
