Vettedlance is seeking a meticulous Urdu transcriptionist to type pages exactly as they appear, preserving every diacritic and punctuation mark. This remote, per-page contract offers flexible part-time hours (10–40 hours per week) and payment in USD after a short paid test.

Applicants should be native or near-native in Urdu and able to type accurately in Urdu script. A reliable laptop/desktop and steady internet connection are required.

Responsibilities

• Type blind from the image with no OCR or copied text.

What you will do

• Transcribe scanned Urdu pages, written in Nastaliq (Perso-Arabic), exactly as they appear, keeping every diacritic and punctuation mark
• Type blind from the image: no OCR, AI tools or copied text
• Flag words you cannot read instead of guessing, using our simple marking system
• Hit an agreed page count each week at a consistent quality bar
