Job summary

Vettedlance is seeking a remote, part-time transcriptionist to faithfully transcribe Saraiki pages. You will work from scanned documents, typing in Saraiki script and preserving every diacritic and punctuation mark. The role requires patience with dense layouts and near-native Saraiki proficiency.

The contract is remote, per-page, 10–40 hours per week, with pay per verified page after a short paid test. Flexible scheduling and independence are offered.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native reading of Saraiki, including older or handwritten forms.
• Fast, accurate typing in Saraiki script on a computer.
• Patience with dense, faded or unusual layouts.
• A laptop/desktop and stable internet connection.

Responsibilities

• Transcribe Saraiki pages exactly as printed or written, line by line.
• Type blind from the image: no OCR or AI tools.
• Flag unreadable words using the marking system.

What you will do

• Transcribe scanned Saraiki pages, written in Perso-Arabic with Saraiki letters, exactly as they appear, keeping every diacritic and punctuation mark
• Type blind from the image: no OCR, AI tools or copied text
• Flag words you cannot read instead of guessing, using our simple marking system
• Hit an agreed page count each week at a consistent quality bar
