Job summary

Jair Lynch Real Estate Partners in Washington, DC seeks a Development Associate to support the full lifecycle of real estate projects. You will assist from acquisition through design, entitlements, construction, delivery, stabilization, and closeout, coordinating with internal teams, consultants, contractors, agencies, and capital partners to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in real estate, construction management, engineering, architecture, finance, or related field.
• Minimum five (5) years of real estate development, construction management, or related field.
• Experience with LIHTC, historic, renovation projects is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience with ground-up multifamily or mixed-use development.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; scheduling software (MS Project) required.
• Experience with financial modeling tools (Excel, Argus) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support acquisition and development teams with feasibility analysis, due diligence, and predevelopment planning.
• Assist in procurement and management of consultants.
• Coordinate design development across disciplines to align with program, budget, and schedule.
• Prepare and manage RFP/RFQ processes and consultant selection.
• Assist in entitlement and permitting processes with agencies.
• Coordinate day-to-day development and construction activities across multiple projects.
• Track project schedules, budgets, and progress; identify risks and propose corrective actions.
• Participate in OAC meetings and document action items.
• Review RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contracts.
• Support preconstruction budgeting, value engineering, and logistics planning.
• Conduct site visits and support closeout and warranty tracking.
• Coordinate utilities, installations, and agency interfaces.
