Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate (Teacher of the Handicapped 2470; Disabilities 2475; Preschool–3 1013)
• Prior urban teaching experience in high-poverty settings preferred
• Valid driver's license with current insurance and vehicle registration
• Criminal history background check, physical and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident status

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, differentiated instruction to students
• Set rigorous academic and behavioral goals for students
• Modify instruction to meet district standards and student needs
• Design thorough lesson/unit plans to master daily objectives
• Co-plan with SPED teachers to meet student needs
• Continuously track student achievement data to inform planning
