Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Two years of professional planning experience for Planner II; four years for Planner III, with two years at Planner II level or equivalent.
• Substitution: Master’s Degree or 60 graduate hours can substitute for Planner III experience.

Responsibilities

• Manages long-range planning documents and grants.
• Coordinates environmental review under CEQA/NEPA.
• Prepares amendments to zoning and sign ordinances.
• Delivers oral and written reports at hearings and meetings.
• Engages with the public, stakeholders, and inter-department teams.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in urban or regional planning, urban design, urban studies, architecture, landscape architecture, urban geography, or environmental studies or a closely related field
