Job summary

The role includes supervising staff and budgets, guiding land use and development activity, and collaborating with residents, businesses, developers, and agencies. It also serves as Zoning Administrator to advance long-term growth goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with urban planning coursework and seven years of progressively responsible urban planning and economic development experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
• A related master’s degree, economic development certification, and AICP designation are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead community development, planning, economic development, parks and recreation, building inspection, code enforcement, and GIS functions.
• Oversee staff and budgets, land use and development activities, and support City boards and commissions.
• Serve as Zoning Administrator and help advance the City’s long-term growth and development goals.
