Job summary

scacareers is seeking participants for the South Bay School Year Crew. Crews of high school students and young adult leaders will complete conservation projects around the South SF Bay Area, training in climate resilience and access to green spaces.

Projects run Saturdays from Oct 24, 2026 to May 15, 2027, with an optional 2-night spring camping trip. Participants gain hands-on conservation skills, supervision, safety training, and opportunities to engage with community partners while working

Qualifications

• Must be a current high school student.
• Available for all program dates.
• Able to perform outdoor manual labor up to 8 hours/day.
• Legally able to work in the USA.
• Team oriented and eager to learn outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Complete conservation projects with local partners.
• Obtain First Aid/CPR certification.
• Learn outdoor skills and tool use.
• Engage in community outreach & climate education.
• Create an end-of-season multimedia project as a crew.
