Job summary

The Student Conservation Association, Inc in the East Bay Area is seeking a Senior Member for the East Bay School Year Climate Crew. A crew of 6 high school students, 2 senior crew members (18+) and 2 Field Leaders will complete conservation projects outdoors across the East SF Bay Area from Oct 17, 2026 to May 15, 2027, including one overnight trip in spring.

Qualifications

• Be a high school student or freshly graduated who is 18 years old.
• Available for all program dates Oct 17, 2026 – May 15, 2027.
• Ability to perform manual, physical outdoor labor up to 8 hours per day, rain or shine.
• Legally eligible to work in the USA.
• Team-oriented mindset and willingness to learn outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Complete conservation projects with local partners.
• Obtain First Aid/CPR certification.
• Develop camping and outdoor skills; support urban climate education.
• Assist local volunteer events and outreach activities.
