Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Planning, Urban Studies/Design, Architecture, Public Administration, Sociology, Geography, Engineering or related field.
• Two years of professional planning, urban design, architecture, landscape architecture or related work.
• Equivalencies include Bachelor's degree in a non-specified field plus four years of experience or a Master's degree.

Responsibilities

• Prepare long-range land use and neighborhood studies to guide future development.
• Review proposals for compliance with ordinances and regulations.
• Present recommendations to the City Plan Commission and other groups.
• Coordinate zoning reviews and residential design standards for permits.
• Engage with communities to obtain feedback on land use and census issues.
