Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, landscape architecture, urban and regional planning, urban design, environmental design or environmental studies.
• Two years of experience performing planning work.
• Equivalency: Master’s degree in architecture, landscape architecture, urban and regional planning, urban design, environmental design or environmental studies and one year of planning work.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of the principles, objectives and techniques of urban planning and design and landscape architecture.
• Knowledge of research methodology applies to community and urban planning studies.
• Knowledge of trends in urban landscape architecture and design.
• Knowledge of computer-aided design and desktop publishing.
• Knowledge of horticulture.
• Skill in preparing detailed landscape plans and graphic representations.
• Ability to work effectively with others.
• Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
