Qualifications

• BS in engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Three years of experience in performing engineering work.
• Equivalency notes: a master's degree may substitute for the bachelor's degree or for two years of experience.
• Some positions require Engineer-In-Training certificate from Maryland.
• Some positions require NICET certification.
• Some positions require Maryland Professional Engineer license or out-of-state equivalent.
• Some positions require Maryland Class C Non-Commercial driver's license or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• An Engineer II assigns and reviews the work of engineers or performs engineering work of an innovative, complex nature.
• Leads engineers and supervises sub-professional engineering and other personnel.
• Incumbents receive general supervision from a technical superior.
