Job description

Urban and Environmental Planning & Policy NTT Vacancy Pool

Position Title: Urban and Environmental Planning & Policy NTT Vacancy Pool

Undergraduate faculty in the UEPP Department. The role involves teaching, research, and service within urban planning/design, sustainability, studio courses, and environmental/natural resource policy. Faculty will collaborate across the nexus of urban, natural, and environmental planning and policy to support the department’s mission of engaging pedagogies and critical perspectives.

Required Qualifications
  • Masters or doctorate in a related field from an accredited institution. Under exceptional circumstances, a candidate with a BA or BS and a minimum of 5 years of experience may be considered.
  • Evidence of community designs, models, exhibitions, community service learning, and other applied works.
  • Demonstrated abilities in planning and policy history, methods, applications, and theory and related planning and policy fields.
  • Demonstrated ongoing learning of current and advanced knowledge and practices in planning and policy fields.
  • Demonstrated engagement in related discipline and/or professional activity.
  • Ability to cultivate environments that are equitable and inclusive for students, faculty, and staff with diverse social identities and backgrounds, and a commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion within the department.
  • Record of supporting the success of students or professionals traditionally underrepresented in the field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching, research, and/or service within the planning and public policy professions.
  • Skill in experiential and critical pedagogies suitable to classroom and/or field settings.
  • Ability to manage field practicum logistics and planning, including with community partner organizations or other entities.
  • Successful experience using an online learning management system, such as Canvas.
Conditions & Compensation
  • Starting salary of $1,385 per credit, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • All employees must comply with the university’s Immunization policies, including proof of Rubeola (measles) immunity within 60 days of hire.
