About the Department

Our department offers majors in Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Spanish, and Latin American Studies, and minors in Classical Studies, Greek, Latin, and Russian. Faculty also participate in interdisciplinary programs such as Canadian‑American Studies, East Asian Studies, the Honors Program, Latin American Studies, and the Linguistics Department.

About the Position

The department, college, and university value teaching, and we expect you to be an excellent teacher who is current in your discipline, engages students actively in learning through discussion, writing, and analysis, and maintains high standards for course content. You will provide feedback on coursework and examinations, hold regular office hours, and submit course evaluations each semester. You must use the university’s standard evaluation form or a provost‑approved alternative.

Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
