Job summary

Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare in Flowood, MS seeks a Utilization Review Coordinator (PRN) to monitor utilization and optimize reimbursement. This role supports the hospital's utilization review plan, ensuring appropriate admissions and efficient service use, with a focus on patient care and compliance.

The ideal candidate is an MS-licensed RN with 1–3 years of psychiatric experience and may have a BSN. PRN hours posted, Monday–Friday orientation availability.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Currently licensed as a registered nurse in Mississippi.
• 1-3 years of psychiatric experience required.

Responsibilities

• Proactively monitors utilization of continuum of services.

We are accredited by the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and certified by Medicare, Medicaid and TRICARE®. We provide psychiatric treatment for depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, schizophrenia, phobia and more. It is important these issues get treated so individuals are able to lead a healthy and happy life.

Position Summary:

Proactively monitors utilization of continuum of services and optimize reimbursement for Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare. Monitors adherence to the hospital's utilization review plan to ensure the effective and efficient use of hospital services and monitor the appropriateness of hospital admissions and extended hospitals stays.

Qualifications

Minimum:

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in Mississippi. 1-3 years of psychiatric experiance required.

Preferred:

A Bachelor of Science in Nursing with 3 - 5 years experience in psychiatric setting.
