Job summary

University of Nebraska–Lincoln seeks an Educational Specialist to support TRIO Upward Bound students in Lincoln area high schools. You will design individualized educational plans, provide academic advising, and help develop college prep activities to strengthen college readiness and leadership pathways.

Responsibilities include supporting summer programming, guiding postsecondary planning, and collaborating with school staff and families to maximize student success.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, or related field.
Experience providing educational learning activities and planning.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to drive a 12-passenger van and meet driving requirements.
Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Formulate and implement an educational plan addressing each participant’s needs.
Provide academic advising and instructional support to retain participants.
Develop and implement college preparatory activities and programs.
Assist in Upward Bound summer program development and implementation.
Assist participants with Post Secondary Pathway planning.
