University of Nebraska–Lincoln invites applications for an Academic Outreach Specialist to support low-income first-generation students in the TRIO program. You will help students navigate college life and earn their bachelor’s degree.

You will coordinate activities, outreach to new students, monitor success, and design educational programming, seminars, and presentations to aid TRIO SSS participants in navigating their collegiate experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• One year of experience in an educational setting.
• Experience developing and executing student success initiatives and programs.
• Knowledge/understanding of working with low-income, first-generation, and disabled students.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and meet the University driver eligibility requirements.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and execute program activities, events, and recognition opportunities.
• Provide outreach to new potential students and monitor participant success.
• Coordinate and implement educational programming, seminars, and presentations for TRIO SSS participants.
