Job summary

Plantible Foods, Inc. is seeking an Upstream Project Engineer to own the engineering and field execution of systems that grow, cultivate, harvest, and deliver Lemna biomass to downstream processing.

You will bridge Plantible’s agricultural and process teams with external engineering partners and vendors. This role is technical and field based, requiring on-site leadership from FEL through startup, ensuring safe, repeatable, and scalable operations across greenhouse and water systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering field.
• 5–10+ years in industrial or agricultural capital projects.
• Bilingual English/Spanish with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Translate requirements into clear scopes for external partners and vendors.
• Coordinate disciplines (process, mechanical, piping, civil, electrical, controls).
• Maintain deliverables, decisions, risks, and schedule dependencies.
• Lead design reviews with internal experts and external engineers.
• Plan for commissioning and startup with operations and maintenance.
• Own upstream systems including greenhouse structures, water delivery, and biomass handling.
