Job summary

Primary Talent Partners' client in West Point, PA seeks an Upstream Processing Scientist I (Assistant) on a 12-month contract with potential extensions. Position is onsite with some off-hours work as needed.

Responsibilities include lab-scale upstream processing, setup of equipment, GLP-compliant data handling, and collaboration with client staff. Requires a B.S. in a related science and some bioprocessing experience; strong communication and computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Biology, Bio/chemistry, Bio/chemical Engineering, or related field.
• At least six months of upstream-focused bioprocessing experience.

Responsibilities

• Support onsite work and occasional off-hour/weekend shifts up to ~40 hours per week.
• Prepare reagents, solutions, and culture media.
• Perform lab-scale upstream processing and purification support for vaccine products.
• Set up process equipment for lab-scale experiments.
• Perform in-process monitoring assays and report data to client staff.
• Maintain GLP records and test results.
• Document work clearly and perform tests accurately.
• Communicate effectively with client staff; work independently and in teams.
