Job summary

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) seeks an Engineer for an onsite 12-month contract in West Point, PA, focused on downstream bioprocess purification and lab-based activities. The role emphasizes wet chemistry, documentation, and collaboration to support purification operations of large complex molecules.

The ideal candidate will have strong lab skills, experience with tangential flow filtration, and a solid understanding of GMP/GLP environments, data interpretation, and technical problem-solving.

Qualifications

• BS in Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Experience with tangential flow filtration processing.
• Comfortable in a lab environment.
• Scientific understanding of downstream bioprocess purification processes.
• Experience with purification operations of large complex molecules.
• Technical understanding of bioprocess scaling principles.
• Wet chemistry laboratory skills (pipetting, buffer preparation, filtration, dilution, stoichiometry).
• Proficiency with laboratory records and data management.
• Excellent collaborative and team-working skills.
• Strong technical problem-solving abilities and data interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Perform downstream bioprocess purification workflows in a lab setting.
• Operate lab equipment and maintain accurate laboratory notebooks and data records.
• Collaborate with teammates to troubleshoot process issues and optimize purification steps.
• Assist in method development and method transfer within GMP/GLP environments.
