Job summary

Sanofi in Framingham, MA invites a Spring Co-op to join the Cell Culture Process Development team. You will design, execute, and analyze cell culture experiments to optimize upstream bioprocess parameters, and contribute to scale-down models and process improvements.

The program offers hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture, perfusion-based processes, and collaboration with cross-functional teams, guided by mentors and senior scientists.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD program in a related field.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship.
• Must be enrolled throughout the co‑op/internship duration.
• Must be able to relocate to Framingham, MA and work 40 hrs/week.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and analyze cell culture experiments to optimize upstream bioprocess parameters.
• Support development and optimization of perfusion-based cell culture processes.
• Contribute to scale‑down model development reflecting manufacturing-scale bioreactors.
• Evaluate sparger designs and their impact on gas transfer, shear, and foam.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data; prepare technical summaries for review.
• Maintain laboratory notebooks and documentation per department policy.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with process engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to scientific discussions.
• Demonstrate foundational knowledge of cell culture, bioreactor operation, and bioprocess principles.
