Job summary

RiverPlace Hotel is seeking a friendly, customer-focused Restaurant Server to deliver exceptional dining experiences in our on-site restaurant. You will greet guests, take orders, and coordinate with kitchen and bar to provide attentive service in a fast-paced hotel setting.

The role emphasizes accurate order taking, timely delivery of meals and beverages, and maintaining high sanitation standards. Prior hotel or upscale restaurant experience is preferred, with Oregon alcohol-service eligibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous restaurant or food & beverage service experience preferred.
• Experience in upscale or boutique hotel environments is a plus.
• Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant payment procedures preferred.
• Must meet Oregon alcohol service age requirements and obtain required permits.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, present menus, answer questions, and offer recommendations.
• Take orders accurately, enter into POS, and communicate dietary needs to kitchen.
• Serve food and beverages promptly according to service standards.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and handle requests professionally.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and beverages.
• Process payments and room charges per hotel procedures.
• Set and reset tables; keep dining areas clean and stocked.
• Complete opening, closing, and side-work duties.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol-service procedures.
• Collaborate with kitchen/bar teams to ensure smooth service.
