Job summary

RiverPlace Hotel is seeking a personable Restaurant Server to deliver exceptional food and beverage service in its restaurant. You will greet guests, take and communicate orders, and ensure a memorable dining experience with accurate transactions and attentive, guest-focused service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous restaurant or food and beverage service experience preferred.
• Experience in upscale or full-service hotel environments is an advantage.
• Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant payment procedures preferred.
• Must meet minimum age requirements for alcohol service in Oregon.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, present menus, answer questions, and provide recommendations on food and beverage selections.
• Accurately take orders, enter them into the POS system, and communicate special requests to the kitchen.
• Serve food and beverages promptly according to established service standards.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and resolve concerns professionally or escalate to management.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and beverage offerings.
• Process guest checks, payments, and room charges accurately in accordance with hotel procedures.
• Set, clear, and reset tables; maintain clean, organized dining and service areas.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol-service procedures.
• Collaborate with kitchen, bar, and restaurant team members to ensure efficient service.
