Job summary

Nbutexas is seeking a polished Restaurant General Manager to lead an upscale opening in the Greater Charlotte/Lake Norman area. You will oversee pre-opening hiring, training, and operational readiness while shaping service standards and a strong wine culture on a busy floor.

The role requires high-volume leadership with a focus on guest experience, team development, and close collaboration with culinary leadership.

Qualifications

• Proven General Manager or senior restaurant leadership experience within an upscale, fine dining, chef-driven, or polished full-service concept.
• Experience leading a high-volume operation of approximately $5M+ in annual sales.
• New restaurant opening experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of French and European wines, regions, vintages, and proper wine service.

Responsibilities

• Pre-opening hiring, training, organization, and operational readiness.
• Establishing polished, approachable service standards.
• Building a confident and knowledgeable wine culture.
• Leading day-to-day restaurant operations with a strong floor presence.
• Developing managers and creating accountability throughout the team.
• Driving sales while maintaining labor and cost controls.
• Creating memorable guest experiences and developing a local following.
• Partnering with culinary leadership to ensure seamless FOH and BOH communication.
• Coaching the team on menu knowledge, wine, service technique, and hospitality.
• Maintaining high cleanliness, organization, presentation, and execution.
• Identifying opportunities to strengthen the operation, team, and guest experience.
