Job summary

Highgate Hotels in Times Square is seeking a friendly and professional Server to deliver exceptional guest service in a fast-paced dining environment. You will take and deliver orders, process payments, and uphold the restaurant’s cleanliness and organization.

The role requires strong communication, a neat appearance, and the ability to multitask while maintaining a guest-first attitude. Flexible scheduling and weekend availability are required for full-time employment opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages, according to local state laws.
• Must have TIPS, safe alcohol service certification. (T.S.)
• Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Ability to stand and walk during entire shift.
• Have the ability to maneuver throughout the dining area while carrying full trays of food & beverages.
• Previous serving experience would be preferred

Responsibilities

• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with the guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
• Receive and deliver guests orders and collect payment.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant.
• Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards, as required by scheduling.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and nametag.
• Comply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
• Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
