Job summary

SLS LUX Brickell in Miami seeks a full-time Security Agent to monitor premises, patrol interior and exterior areas, and ensure guest and employee safety. Under the Security Manager's guidance, you will detect, deter, observe and report incidents.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in public-facing roles, a high school diploma, and strong English communication. You will prepare written reports, respond to emergencies, and help protect the property's assets while maintaining hospitality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years in a public-facing position, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel.
• Proven experience as security officer or guard.
• Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety.
• Familiarity with report writing.
• Excellent surveillance and observation skills.
• Possess a gracious, friendly, and professional demeanor.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail.
• Must be able to stand or walk for long shifts.
• Must be able to work inside and outside year-round.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to provide a safe environment for guests and employees.
• Patrols the interior and exterior perimeter and report potential safety issues to the Director of Security.
• Prevent losses by reporting irregularities and restraining trespassers as needed.
• Respond to emergencies and prepare written reports.
• Watch alarm systems or cameras and operate emergency equipment.
• Follow company service and operating standards and comply with regulations.
