Job summary

Lutheran Senior Services is seeking a Dining Server to deliver upscale dining experiences to residents and guests in Ballwin, Missouri. You will take and serve food and beverages, greet guests, and ensure accurate delivery while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.

The role requires 1–3 years in fine dining, strong customer service, and teamwork. We offer PTO, retirement benefits, and education support in a mission-driven not-for-profit environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year (preferably 2–3) of dining serving in a fine dining or country club venue.
• Ability to read, understand and follow recipe instructions, diet orders, and resident preference cards.
• Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with frequent interruptions.
• Patient and tolerant toward staff, residents, and family members.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Must have or be willing to receive a Hepatitis A vaccine if working in St. Louis County.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service reflecting an upscale dining experience.
• Take and serve food/beverage orders timely and accurately.
• Greet guests with courtesy and address dissatisfied guests promptly.
• Know menu details, allergens, and how items are prepared and cooked.
• Make recommendations and share information with guests about the menu.
• Serve 16+ guests at a time and recall orders on request.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper temperatures of foods and service areas.
• Assist with dining service setup, stocking, and cleanup as instructed.
