Job summary

Urbana Country Club is seeking a dedicated Server to provide gracious, knowledgeable service in our upscale dining rooms. You will work closely with teammates to ensure a seamless dining experience, delivering courses with elegance and maintaining high standards.

The role emphasizes hospitality, attention to detail, and the ability to train other servers and bartenders. This lunch service position runs from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM with a tip-based earnings supplement.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, holidays and events.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests promptly and professionally, using names when known.
• Support managers by training other servers and bartenders within the club.
• Provide detailed menu knowledge and make recommendations based on preferences and pairings.
• Take orders accurately using POS systems and ensure proper timing of service.
• Deliver courses with elegance and precision, clearing in a discreet manner.
• Anticipate needs and attend to requests without prompting.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen, bar, and management teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow fine dining service procedures and etiquette.
• Maintain a clean, organized station and uphold appearance standards.
• Assist in setup and breakdown of dining areas and inspect linens.
