Job summary

Terrain is seeking experienced event staff to support dining room, patio, ceremony and garden areas in an upscale setting. You will assist with setup, service, and breakdown for weddings, banquets, and formal events, ensuring smooth operations and guest satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have food service experience, reliability, and a polished demeanor. Roles require weekend availability, physical stamina, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment both indoors and outdoors.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation required.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to stand 8–10 hours.
• Indoor and outdoor work.
• Weekend and some holidays availability.
• Minimum 3 shifts/month during peak season (Apr–Dec).
• Weekly recurring availability.
• Typical shift 2:00 PM–12:00 AM.
• Flexible, proactive, and collaborative team attitude.
• Comfortable with formal event moments (speeches, dances).
• Experience in food service and upscale hospitality (weddings, banquets) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support setup of dining room, patio/bar, and ceremony/garden areas.
• Move tables and chairs during transitions and breakdown for every event.
• Provide warm, polished guest service during appetizers, wine service, and buffet or plated meals.
• Maintain knowledge of menu, tables, and seat numbers for food running.
• Bus glasses, dishes, silverware, and trash from event tables to the kitchen.
• Refill, restock, and transition stationary food and beverage displays.
• Dry, polish, and store equipment used during events.
• Maintain clean and organized service stations.
• Represent the Terrain brand with professionalism and care.
