21c Museum Hotels in Durham, NC seeks an engaging Restaurant Server to act as an ambassador for the restaurant, intuiting guests' appetites and making menu recommendations. You will sell items, deliver beverages and food cheerfully, and maintain a clean service area while working with a positive attitude.

The role requires knowledge of menu descriptions, ingredients, and wines by the glass, with experience in upscale dining preferred. Evening and weekend availability is necessary.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Reports to work on time and ready to work scheduled shift.
• Follows all steps of service and maintains a cheerful demeanor.
• Knows descriptions and ingredients of all menu items and wines by the glass.
• Sells menu items to increase overall sales and ensures proper presentation.
• Maintains clean and stocked service area; handles POS systems.
• Demonstrates enthusiasm for all things 21c and adheres to sanitation guidelines.
• Able to work flexible hours (nights, weekends).
• Background check required and professional appearance expected.
