Job summary

The 1856 - A Culinary Residence, an upscale teaching restaurant at the Rane Culinary Science Center, Auburn University, invites qualified individuals to join as a Server.

You will sell and serve food and beverages with southern hospitality, memorize an 8–10 course tasting menu with evolving pairings, and work closely with a paired student to ensure smooth, memorable service for guests. The role requires teamwork, math skills, and a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• Upscale dining background preferred.
• Able to complete Responsible Vendor course for team members 18+.
• Basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures.
• Strong math skills and ability to handle money using a POS.
• Positive attitude and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Sell and serve food & beverages with southern hospitality.
• Memorize an 8-10 course tasting menu with evolving beverage pairings.
• Work with a paired student to provide service and ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain a neat, clean work environment and observe guest dining experience.
