Job summary

Yardbird, renowned for Southern hospitality and a legacy of award-winning cuisine, seeks a friendly Server to deliver memorable dining experiences in a high-volume setting. You will greet guests, present menus, and take orders with accuracy, while ensuring timely delivery of meals and beverages.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in upscale service, a high school diploma or equivalent, and relevant alcohol service certifications.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Food Server in a high-volume, upscale dining environment.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Alcohol, beer and wine service certifications (e.g., Court of Master Sommeliers, Certified Beer Server, Bar Smarts, WSET, etc.).

Responsibilities

Greet guests promptly and warmly, ensuring they feel welcomed.
Present menus, answer questions, and provide recommendations on menu items, daily specials, and beverages.
Take accurate food and beverage orders, input them into the POS system, and communicate any special requests to the kitchen.
Monitor tables throughout the meal to ensure satisfaction and respond to additional requests.
Properly serves all dishes with clear and concise verbiage and places each dish properly in front of the guests.
Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
Set up and clear tables efficiently, including removing used dishes, resetting tables, and maintaining cleanliness.
Adhere to Company policies regarding alcohol service and verify identification when necessary.
Able to work flexible hours, including off hours, weekends and holidays.
