Job summary

Hilton Milwaukee Chophouse is seeking a dedicated Bartender to deliver an upscale, fine-dining guest experience in downtown Milwaukee. The role combines order-taking, mixing, and menu presentation with exceptional service, in a premier hotel setting connected to the Baird Center.

The ideal candidate has at least two years in fine-dining bartending, holds a bartending certificate and TIPS certification, and is available Fridays and Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Two years of bartending or bar service in a fine dining outlet.
• Availability to work Fridays and Saturdays.
• Excellent communication and hospitality knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer including vintages and regions.
• Bartending certificate and TIPS certification required.
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Basic math for cash handling and vouchers.
• English proficiency for guest communication.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock the bar daily with beverages, garnishes, and supplies.
• Maintain stock and prepare fresh garnishes and perishables.
• Greet guests, take drink orders, mix and present drinks per recipes.
• Understand drink menu, wine list, ingredients, and service.
• Use POS and manage bar inventory.
• Handle cash, verify charges, and process guest checks.
• Clean glassware and maintain health standards.
• Follow liquor regulations and assist with security as needed.
• Assist as a server in the bar area when required.
