Job summary

Bar Sardine in University Park, TX is seeking bartenders to craft beverages and deliver warm, polished hospitality at the bar or dining room. You will anticipate guest needs, guide guests on our beverage program, and uphold service standards with accuracy and care.

You will maintain knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktails, and seasonal features; collaborate with servers and hosts; handle guest concerns professionally; and participate in ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
• Experience in a full-service upscale high volume establishment preferred.
• Willing to complete quizzes on product knowledge.
• Knowledge and passion for wine, beer, and craft cocktails.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, attentive, and professional service to guests at the bar and in support of the dining room.
• Craft cocktails and prepare beverages with precision, consistency, and adherence to Vandelay recipes and standards.
• Maintain knowledge of beverage program including wine, spirits, cocktails, beer, and seasonal features.
• Engage with guests, offer guidance and recommendations to enhance experience.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to ensure seamless service.
• Maintain proper pacing, presentation, and order accuracy.
• Execute opening and closing procedures for the bar and ensure readiness for service.
• Manage bar inventory and restock supplies.
• Collaborate with servers, hosts, and team members for smooth operations.
• Adhere to responsible alcohol service guidelines and guest safety.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and resolve issues.
• Participate in ongoing training to deepen knowledge and skills.
