Job summary

The Seelbach Hilton in Louisville seeks a friendly bartender to serve beverages and food to guests, greet patrons, promote and document drink orders, and act as cashier in the lounge.

You will maintain bar setup, stock garnishes and perishables, input orders at POS, balance cash, and ensure compliance with liquor regulations; prior hotel/upscale restaurant experience preferred.

Strong customer service, basic math, and English writing skills required; CPR/First Aid preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• At least one year of experience in a similar size operation; several years in an upscale restaurant; hotel experience preferred.
• CPR Certification and/or First Aid Training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests courteously and promote and document drink orders.
• Mix, garnish and present drinks using standard recipes and portion control.
• Input orders into a register/ POS, create checks, and balance cash receipts.
• Maintain daily bar setup and stock of beverages, garnishes, and perishables.
• Lock up and secure all bar/food equipment and deposits; ensure compliance with liquor regulations.
