Job summary

Qualifications

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of commissioning or field service experience with secure power.
  • Confirmed experience with UPS, battery cabinets, and transfer switches.
  • Experience with installation and commissioning in data centers is an advantage.
  • Fluent in English (B2+ level).
  • Strong safety awareness and compliance with safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions, mathematical or diagrammatic information.
  • Strong written communication skills for writing reports and procedures.
  • Capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for at least 70% of the working time.
  • Good proficiency with software tools such as AutoCAD, MS Office, and Acrobat.

Responsibilities

  • Perform startup and commissioning on all equipment across the secure power (UPS) product range.
  • Evaluate unit installation (quality of connections, assembly, readiness for startup).
  • Evaluate system installation and operational conditions.
  • Perform onsite adjustments to bring units to optimal operating conditions.
  • Support customers in installation, modification, and repair of UPS products.
  • Identify failure causes (quality, software, operational condition) and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with Schneider Electric service engineers and partners during site interventions.
  • Interact with Level 3 support to solve onsite issues.
  • Provide training to customers on equipment operation.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for UPS products and systems.

Overview

Location & Commitments

Possibility to work remotely. Extensive international travel (70%) within Europe, mostly Germany, France, BENELUX, Northern Europe, UK and others. EU passport holder required.
