Job summary

Buckingham Browne & Nichols School is seeking an 80% Upper School Spanish Teacher to cover a January 2027–June 2027 leave. The role focuses on Spanish classes at levels III Honors, IV, and AP Spanish Language, with collaboration within the World Languages Department and regular department meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least two years of full-time teaching experience.
• Familiarity with AP Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop engaging Spanish courses aligned with curriculum guidelines.
• Prepare materials, assignments, tests, and projects; evaluate student performance.
• Supervise student behavior in class and on school grounds; address academic or behavioral issues.
• Monitor student progress throughout the year.
• Communicate progress and concerns to parents and colleagues.
• Build positive relationships with parents, students, and staff; collaborate with the World Languages Department.
• Maintain safety and security standards and required paperwork for student records.
• Participate in faculty meetings, trainings, and professional development.
