University Prep invites applications for an Upper School Math Teacher—Long-Term Sub. The position teaches four sections of Upper School math (Algebra II and Calculus II) and co-teaches during a three-week intensive course, using formative assessments to guide instruction and maintaining open dialogue with students, families, and staff.

Responsibilities include fostering an active learning environment, meeting diverse learning needs, and collaborating with colleagues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Math or a related field from a four-year college or university required.
• Master’s degree in Math or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of successful teaching experience in an Upper School environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teaches 4 sections of Upper School math, including 2 sections of Algebra II and 2 sections of Calculus 2.
• Co-teaches 1 section of Upper School Algebra II during a 3-week intensive course with another teacher.
• Uses formative teaching and assessment methods.
• Establishes and cultivates community relations by maintaining open dialogue with students, families and school professionals.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
