University Prep in Seattle, WA seeks an Upper School Math Teacher for a long-term sub, teaching four sections and supporting a winter intensive. Collaboration with fellow faculty, use of formative assessments, and commitment to inclusive practices are required.

A bachelor’s degree in math is mandatory, a master’s is preferred, with 3+ years’ Upper School teaching experience desirable. The position runs November 23, 2026 through May 14, 2027, with full-time status and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Math or related field required.
• Master’s degree in Math or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of Upper School teaching experience preferred.
• Competence in Upper School pedagogy and content area.

Responsibilities

• Teaches 4 sections of Upper School math (2 Algebra II, 2 Calculus 2).
• Co-teaches 1 section of Algebra II during a 3-week intensive course.
• Uses formative assessment methods in instruction.
• Maintains open dialogue with students, families, and colleagues.
• Follows school policies and safety guidelines; protects students and property.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
