Job summary

York Academy Regional Charter School is seeking an outstanding Instructional Assistant to support faculty of the Upper School (7-12). The IA will assist with educational, remedial, physical, and social tasks within the classroom.

Primary responsibilities include aiding students with assignments, maintaining a positive classroom environment, monitoring progress, and communicating with teachers. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; a Bachelor’s in Education is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Must have current PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse, and FBI Background Checks.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus; strong communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with classroom assignments and activities.
• Support teachers to maintain a positive classroom environment.
• Monitor student progress and report needs to teacher.
• Perform clerical tasks and maintain confidentiality.
