Job summary

Embla Medical, a part of Össur, seeks a Prosthetics Technician to fabricate upper limb externally powered prostheses in-house. You will follow established instructions, maintain fabrication standards, and coordinate multiple projects while keeping the production area orderly.

We value a high school diploma and 1–3 years in orthotics/prosthetics, strong communication, and teamwork. Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced setting are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Graduate of high school or GED.
• 1–3 years as Orthotics and/or Prosthetics Technician, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Fabricates prosthetic devices following established work instructions and quality standards.
• Pour negatives, plaster modifications, pull plastic, roll silicone and trimline finishing.
• Operate machinery and power tools with precision; maintain hand-eye coordination.
• Educate customers attending onsite clinical academy trainings.
• Troubleshoot i-limb devices when necessary.
• Test prostheses for movement, valve seals, alignment, and biomechanical stability.
