Job summary

Össur in the United States is seeking a Prosthetics Technician to fabricate in-house and central fabrication upper limb externally powered prostheses. The role requires keen attention to detail and strong communication as you manage multiple projects.

You will operate power tools and fabrication equipment, perform tasks such as pour negatives, plaster modifications, pull plastic, roll silicone and trimline finishing, and assist with customer education during onsite clinical academy trainings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years as Orthotics/Prosthetics Technician or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Good hand-eye coordination and ability to operate machinery.

Responsibilities

• Fabricates prosthetic devices per established work instructions and quality standards.
• Pour negatives, plaster modifications, pull plastic, roll silicone, and trimline finishing.
• Operate machinery and power tools safely with precision.
• Educate customers during onsite clinical academy trainings.
• Troubleshoot i-limb devices when necessary.
• Test prostheses for movement, sealed valves, alignment, and biomechanical stability.
• Maintain supplies of fabrication materials and keep production area clean.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
